Children's Classes Information

BALLET

I.D.T.A. Examination classes from PREPARATORY age 4 to ADVANCED Ballet classes at the Dance Workshop run throughout the day on Saturday and Monday after school. All classes maintain the highest level of technique and individual attention in order to fully develop each student’s potential. We aim to give a thorough understanding of body alignment and etiquette of Ballet, with strong emphasis on musicality.

TAP CLASSES

I.D.T.A. Examination classes from PREPARATORY age 5 to INTERMEDIATE Tap classes at The Dance Workshop are designed to develop the child’s sense of rhythm and co-ordination. Classes incorporate progressive teaching style and encourage each individual.

STREET DANCE

I.D.T.A. Examination classes from 7 - 16 years
These high energy classes focus on musicality, rhythm and performance skills, while developing a good dance technique. Students will take part in warm-ups to develop aerobic capacity, strength and technique before learning MTV style routines to the latest funky tunes - Bronze, Silver and Gold levels

children's classes are payable by the term only unless alternative arrangements are made through the office. Classes are graded according to levels, ages and ability. Please note that as all children have different paces of learning,we aim, as much as possible to grace them accordingly. i.e where they feel comfortable yet challenged enough.
